Refund Policy

After an order is confirmed and/or a deposit has been accepted, all orders are non-refundable. Shade & Light will not be able to accommodate a cancellation request.

Freight & Delivery Charges

Additional Surcharges For:

  • Aluminum Blinds
  • Custom Cellular Shades
  • Soft Roman Shades
  • Woven Woods
  • The first shade shipped is $15.00. Each additional shade is $8.00.
  • Oversize Additional Charges: For each product exceeding 93 inches, an additional $125.00 will be added to the invoice. For Eco-Cellular Shades, an extra $170.00 will be charged for each shade that is 93 inches or longer. These oversize charges are separate from the freight charge.

Company Vehicle Delivery:

  • Delivery by a Shade & Light Window Fashions company vehicle will incur a per-load fee.

Special Shipping Requirements:

  • For express shipment or shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, and foreign countries, freight will be quoted separately.
  • Freight collect and using a preferred carrier is optional.
  • Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, and 3 Day Select shipping options are available. Actual freight costs will be applied.

Freight Damage and Shortages:

  • Please inspect all shipments immediately and carefully upon delivery. Report any damages and shortages on the delivery receipt and notify Shade & Light Window Fashions customer service within 48 hours. No freight damage claims will be accepted after 30 days from shipping.

Repair Fees for Shade & Light Products Only

Standard Repairs:

  • Shorten Height: $30.00
  • Cut Down Width: $30.00
  • Restring: $20.00
  • Change Control Position: $40.00
  • Replace Headrail or Bottom Rail: $40.00

Option Changes:

  • If the new shade costs less than the original shade: $70.00 plus cost difference per shade.
  • If the new shade costs more than the original shade: $70.00 standard per shade.

Minimum Repair Charges:

  • $40.00 (Note: All repair charges do not include freight. Standard shipping charges will be applied).

Rush Order Surcharges

Conditions:

  • Rush orders are subject to inventory availability and production schedule.
  • Same-day rush must be submitted by 10 a.m. PST to be processed that business day.
  • 24- and 48-hour rushes must be submitted by 2:30 p.m. PST to be processed that business day.

Rush Fees:

  • Same Day Production Rush: $60.00
  • 48-Hour Rush: $16.00
  • 24-Hour Rush: $30.00
  • An additional $5.00 per shade will be applied to the invoice for delivery on rush orders.

Minimum Repair Charge:

  • $20.00 (Note: All repair charges do not include freight. Standard shipping charges will be applied).

Care & Maintenance

  • Dust with a soft clean cloth or chemically treated dust cloth. Tilt the slats up and dust. Then tilt the slats down (but not all the way to closed) and dust the other side of the slats.
  • Vacuum using the brush dust head attachment and tilt the slats up and down as described for dusting.
  • Wash slats using a damp cloth and mild detergent solution. Use warm or cold water, not hot water. Tilt the slats up and down as described for dusting.
  • Bottom rail and slats may also be immersed in a bathtub for a more thorough cleaning. Do not immerse the head rail. Place the blind in an solution of mild, soapy water. Rinse clean and either wipe dry or allow to air dry completely.
