Classic Cellular, Economy Cellular, Sliding Cellular, & Aluminum Blinds

What Is Covered by Warranty:

  • Warranty is offered to the original owner.
  • Warranty applies only to the products properly installed in the window for where they were intended, following the installation instruction, care guide, programming instruction, and recommendations from Shade & Light.
  • Warranty covers the products made and assembled solely with Shade & Light original material.
  • Warranty will repair or replace the product solely at Shade & Light option due to defective material or poor workmanship.
  • This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which vary from the state to state.

What Is Not Covered by Warranty:

  • This warranty does not apply to any Shade & Light products damaged by accident, misuse, abuse, direct exposure to salty air or improper moisture, discoloration due to sunlight, under exposure or irregular temperature.
  • This warranty does not apply to conditions caused by normal wear and tear upon the product. It does not apply to any product damaged by fire, flood, wind, rain, lightning, or other act of nature environment.
  • In no event shall Shade & Light be liable for incidental or consequential damage, loss, cost, expense or fee.
  • Warranty does not apply to liquidated or discontinued items.
  • Warranty does not include shipping charges.

Shipping & Return Fees:

  • We pay for return on the repairs within 6 months of receipt of the products. Shade & Light will ship the products back to the customers for free.
  • From 6 months to 3 years (the warranty period), the customers are responsible for the return shipping. Shade & Light will cover the repair cost and ship it back for free.
  • After the warranty expires the customers are responsible for all shipping and repairing charges.
  • Note: The free shipping and return are valid for ground service only.

How to Obtain Warranty Service:

  • Please contact customer service with the following information:
    • Original sales receipt
    • Model and identification numbers
    • Detail description of defect

Wand Motorization:

  • Wand motorization warranty on Aluminum Blinds is 3 years.
  • 5-Year Warranty: Motors, if defective.

What Is Covered by Warranty:

  • This product is warranted to the original residential purchaser as long as the product remains in the original window.
  • Lifetime: Entire product against manufacturing defects (i.e., a flaw in the product design, materials or workmanship that causes the product to no longer function).
  • 1-Year Warranty: Remote control.
  • 3-Year Warranty: All fabrics, cords, and cord lock.
  • 5-Year Warranty: Motors, if defective.

What Is Not Covered by Warranty:

  • Normal Wear & Tear: Any product that fails due to abuse, exposure to salt air, improper installation, accident, extraordinary use, improper operation, alterations, improper cleaning, misapplication, damage from pests, insects, or pets, improper handling, and misuse.
  • Costs Associated With: Product removal, transportation to and from the retailer, brand label removal, product-measure, incidental or consequential damages, product re-installation, and shipping. In the event there are multiple shades in the same room, only the defective shade will be replaced.

To Report Shipping Damage:

  • If damage occurred during shipping, call the place of purchase and report within 7 calendar days or else you may be denied credit for your damaged product.

To Obtain Service:

  • If you suspect that Shade & Light product has a manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship: Locate invoice number on invoice and call customer service at (386) 788-5091.
  • Any unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

Warranty Remedy:

  • THIS SHALL BE YOUR SOLE REMEDY UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. If this product is found to have a manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship, we will (at our discretion) do one of the following: repair the product, replace the product, or refund the cost of the product.

Your Rights Under State Law:

  • This lifetime limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long a warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
  • No agent, representative, dealer, or unauthorized employee has the authority to increase or alter the obligation of this warranty. This lifetime limited warranty supersedes any previous versions.

Avondale Shutters

What Is Covered by Warranty:

Shade & Light, Inc. warrants that its Laguna composite shutters will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 15 years. This warranty applies to the original purchaser, provided that such shutters were: 1) professionally installed in a residential dwelling; 2) not moved or removed from their originally installed location; and 3) not modified in any way. The obligation of Shade & Light, Inc. is limited to the repair or replacement of shutter component(s) found to be defective. Repairs will be made with like or similar parts.

The cost of transporting the warranted item to the factory listed below, the cost of return transportation of the repaired product to the owner, and any costs associated with removal shall be the responsibility of the owner. To obtain warranty service, contact Shade & Light, Inc. at the address listed below. Warranty claims are limited to the original purchaser and must be accompanied by proof of purchase. This warranty does not cover conditions or damages resulting from accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, motorized devices, use of chlorine-based cleaning agents, or failure to follow our cleaning and maintenance instructions. It also does not apply to corrosion of shutter hardware, effects of abnormal environmental exposure, or conditions caused by normal wear and tear.

This warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. In no event shall Shade & Light, Inc. be held liable for incidental or consequential damages, or for any other direct or indirect damage, loss, cost, expense, or fee. Some states do not allow exclusion or limitation of consequential or incidental damages, so this exclusion or limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.
